{"id":734,"date":"2020-05-25T15:53:49","date_gmt":"2020-05-25T15:53:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bktrent.org\/?p=734"},"modified":"2020-05-25T15:53:49","modified_gmt":"2020-05-25T15:53:49","slug":"spicy-white-chicken-chili","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bktrent.org\/index.php\/2020\/05\/25\/spicy-white-chicken-chili\/","title":{"rendered":"Spicy White Chicken Chili"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INGREDIENTS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>5-6&nbsp;cups&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecookierookie.com\/homemade-chicken-broth-recipe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">chicken broth<\/a>&nbsp;depending on if you want it a bit soupy<\/li><li>6&nbsp;cups&nbsp;cooked shredded chicken&nbsp;I used rotisserie chicken<\/li><li>2&nbsp;15.3 ounce cans Northern White beans, drained<\/li><li>2&nbsp;cups&nbsp;salsa verde&nbsp;I chose jalapeno salsa verde for an even spicier chili!<\/li><li>1&nbsp;tablespoon&nbsp;olive oil<\/li><li>2&nbsp;tablespoons&nbsp;fresh chopped cilantro<\/li><li>1\/2&nbsp;tablespoon&nbsp;poultry seasoning<\/li><li>1&nbsp;teaspoon&nbsp;chili powder<\/li><li>1&nbsp;large yellow onion&nbsp;chopped\/diced<\/li><li>4&nbsp;cloves&nbsp;garlic&nbsp;minced<\/li><li>2&nbsp;jalapeno peppers&nbsp;diced (remove the seeds for a milder version, leave the seeds in for a VERY HOT version)<\/li><li>1&nbsp;poblano pepper&nbsp;diced (if you want REALLY spicy, substitute serrano chilis for the poplano, or leave the seeds in from the jalapeno peppers. If you want less spicy, leave the seeds out)<\/li><li>Sour Cream&nbsp;more jalapenos, shredded cheese, and green onion for garnish (optional)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INSTRUCTIONS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Heat onion, peppers, and garlic in a large skillet over medium\/high heat until the onions are transparent.<\/li><li>Add all of the ingredients (except garnish) to a medium pot and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce to a simmer, cooking for 5-10 minutes at least on simmer.<\/li><li>Serve hot garnished with sour cream, shredded cheese, and more peppers if desired.
