{"id":665,"date":"2018-11-04T20:04:53","date_gmt":"2018-11-04T20:04:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bktrent.org\/?p=665"},"modified":"2018-11-04T20:04:53","modified_gmt":"2018-11-04T20:04:53","slug":"irresistible-almond-bars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bktrent.org\/index.php\/2018\/11\/04\/irresistible-almond-bars\/","title":{"rendered":"Irresistible Almond Bars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Crust:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 c butter<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c powdered sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 c flour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Filling:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8 oz softened cream cheese<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 tsp almond extract<\/li>\n<li>2 eggs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Icing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 1\/2 c powdered sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 c butter<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 tsp milk<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp almond extract<\/li>\n<li>sliced almonds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To make crust: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together all crust ingredients. Put into 9&#215;13&#8243; pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>To make filling: Beat cream cheese, sugar and almond extract together. Add one egg at a time and beat. Pour into baked crust and bake an additional 15-20 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>To make icing: Mix all ingredients together and spread over bars. Cut into squares. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
