{"id":24,"date":"2009-12-26T00:10:55","date_gmt":"2009-12-26T00:10:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bktrent.org\/index.php\/2009\/12\/26\/curried-crab-spread\/"},"modified":"2009-12-26T00:10:55","modified_gmt":"2009-12-26T00:10:55","slug":"curried-crab-spread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bktrent.org\/index.php\/2009\/12\/26\/curried-crab-spread\/","title":{"rendered":"Curried Crab Spread+"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Note: this recipe makes a lot &#8211; could easily halve it for a party; I ran out of baguette with the full recipe.<\/p>\n<p>It is actually great as a sandwich spread!<\/p>\n<p>3 points<\/p>\n<p>1\/2\u00a0cup\u00a0minced celery (3 stalks)<br \/>1\/2\u00a0cup\u00a0minced green bell pepper (1 small)<br \/>1\/2\u00a0cup\u00a0minced red bell pepper (1 small)<br \/>8 oz 1\/3-less-fat cream cheese <br \/>1\/3\u00a0cup\u00a0light mayonnaise <br \/>1\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0curry powder <br \/>1\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0hot sauce <br \/>1\/2\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0salt <br \/>1\/4\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0dry mustard <br \/>1\/4\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0black pepper <br \/>1\u00a0pound\u00a0lump crabmeat, shell pieces removed (4 small cans)<br \/>36\u00a0(1\/4-inch-thick) slices diagonally cut French bread baguette (about 18 ounces) <br \/>1\u00a0tablespoon\u00a0olive oil<\/p>\n<p>Combine the first 11 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring until well combined. Gently fold in crabmeat.<br \/>Prepare broiler.<br \/>Place bread slices in a single layer on a baking sheet. Brush 1 side of the bread slices evenly with the olive oil. Broil 1 minute or until lightly browned.
