The vermilion flesh of blood oranges (which come into season in December) is lovely. But if they&#8217;re not available, substitute navel oranges. <\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<br \/>2\u00a0cups\u00a0sliced strawberries <br \/>2\u00a0cups\u00a0apple juice <br \/>2\/3\u00a0cup\u00a0Triple Sec (orange-flavored liqueur) <br \/>1\/2\u00a0cup\u00a0sugar <br \/>4\u00a0whole cloves <br \/>3\u00a0seedless blood oranges, each cut into 16 wedges <br \/>2\u00a0(750-milliliter) bottles fruity red wine <br \/>2\u00a0(3-inch) cinnamon sticks <br \/>1\u00a0lemon, cut into 8 wedges <br \/>1\u00a0lime, cut into 8 wedges<\/p>\n<p>Preparation<br \/>Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher, and stir until sugar dissolves. Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight. Discard cloves and cinnamon sticks.
